What you need

A Telegram account and two minutes in a chat with @BotFather.
A name customers will see, such as “Brightwater Dental”, and a username ending in “bot”.

How the connection goes

  1. Create the bot in @BotFather

    Send /newbot, choose a name and a username. BotFather replies with a key like 123456789:ABC… — copy all of it.

  2. Integrations → Telegram → paste the key → “Connect Telegram”

    We check the key with Telegram and register where its messages go. The Telegram card turns green and names the bot.

    If this bot is already connected to another SIPmind account, the dashboard says so: one bot serves one account. Create a second one.

  3. Send the bot /start

    The AI greets you and the conversation appears in Chats. The green pill means the key is saved; the real check is the bot answering.

Questions before you connect

Can we connect a bot we already have?
Yes. Paste its key and we switch the bot’s messages to SIPmind. If it worked with another service, that service stops receiving them.
Can I see the customer’s phone number?
Only if the customer shares their contact. The AI asks for a number in the conversation when it needs one to book or to call back.
How do I disconnect the bot?
The Telegram card has a Disconnect button: the bot stops answering and Telegram stops sending us its messages. You can also revoke the key in BotFather.
