Analytics period and finding busy days
Analytics window: the home page shows 30, 90 or 180 days or 12 months, or a custom period — the buttons sit under the Interactions figure. Your choice drives the whole page at once: the number, the trend against the previous equal period, the per-day chart, channels, quality, top contacts and the lead pipeline. Nothing on the page is left on a different window, so what you read is always one period.
Seasonality — which months are busy: pick 90 days, 180 days or 12 months and the chart switches from daily to monthly bars. Each bar is split by channel, so you can see at a glance the months when people call versus the months they write — the two rarely move together, and that is usually the interesting part.
Finding your busy days: spikes on the chart are the days (or months) demand jumped. Click a bar to open exactly that period in History — a day bar opens that day, a month bar opens the whole month. Drag across several bars to open that range instead; dragging works in either direction. You can also set the dates by hand in History: the end date is inclusive, so the same day in both boxes gives you that whole day.
An exact window: Custom period… under the period buttons opens two date fields. Use them when you need a specific stretch — a campaign fortnight, last June, the period a client is asking about. The whole page follows: the figure, the trend against the equally-long period immediately before, the chart, the channels and the volumes table. Dates are read in your workspace timezone and the end date is inclusive. Long windows still group by month, so a hand-picked half-year reads as cleanly as the preset one.
Where interactions came from: the table under the chart splits volume by entry point — phone calls, WhatsApp calls, WhatsApp messages, Telegram, Instagram, the site widget — because a phone call and a WhatsApp call look the same in a plain channel list. Three columns on purpose: They contacted us is real demand, Our replies is what your AI and operators sent back inside those threads, and We reached out is your own notifications. Only the first is demand — adding them together makes a business that notifies its customers look twice as busy as it is.
Worth knowing:
- Dates are read in your workspace timezone (Settings → Timezone), not UTC — "7 August" means your 7 August.
- The date range and the channel filter combine, and neither is lost when you switch the other or press "Load more".
- "Showing N of M" at the bottom counts within the filter you picked, not the whole history.
- The figures come straight from your call and message log — no sampling, no cap.
