Calls in WhatsApp
A customer taps «call» in your WhatsApp chat and the AI answers by voice — the same AI, the same knowledge base and the same customer card as on your phone line. The call gets a recording, a transcript and a summary like any phone call, and counts as minutes of AI conversation in your plan. Meta does not charge for calls customers start.
What Meta requires. The number is on the official platform (connected to SIPmind); the business has a messaging limit of 2,000 or more — Meta enables calling only from that level; calling is switched on for the number in WhatsApp Manager → Phone numbers → Calling. The customer may be in any country where WhatsApp works.
Switching it on. Calls reach SIPmind over Meta's SIP connection, which is set per number. Write to [email protected] with the number; we give you the connection settings for the Calling screen and check the first call with you. Voice is part of the plans from Office + Calls.
When a person is needed. A call inside WhatsApp cannot be switched to another phone — that is how WhatsApp works, not a setting. The AI says so once, takes the request and passes it to your team with the customer's WhatsApp number already attached, as a task; a colleague calls the customer back in WhatsApp or by phone. The same rule as a transfer on the phone line applies for everything else: hours, addresses and prices are read word for word, nothing is promised that the system did not confirm.
Calling customers first. Meta allows a business to start a WhatsApp call only after the customer agreed, with tight limits per person, and not in every country. SIPmind answers WhatsApp calls; it does not place them. To reach a customer by voice, use outbound calling on the phone line.
