Groups in WhatsApp and Telegram

Your clients talk to you in groups — a chat per company, a chat per project. Add your own WhatsApp number (WhatsApp · your own number) or your Telegram bot to the group, and every group becomes a thread in Chats and in the app: named after the group, each message signed by who wrote it. You answer in the usual message box — from WhatsApp it leaves from your number, in Telegram from your bot.

The assistant never writes in a group. It reads and makes the work visible:

  • You are mentioned or quoted (@your name or @your bot, or a reply to your message) — a task for your team at once.
  • A question to you nobody answered within about ten minutes — the same task. Members talking to each other make none.
  • One of yours answered — from Chats, the app, your team's Telegram group, the phone, or your own Telegram if it is linked on the Staff page — and the task closes by itself.

Settings. For all groups: Integrations → the WhatsApp or the Telegram card → Groups: how the assistant watches them — Mentions and unanswered questions (the default), Only when mentioned, or Don't watch. For one group: open it in Chats — the header has the same choice and Tasks to, the person its tasks go to.

Telegram. By default a bot in a group sees only messages that mention it or reply to it. To watch questions too: BotFather → /setprivacy → your bot → Disable, then remove the bot from the group and add it again. A colleague who writes in the group from their own Telegram counts as your reply once their Telegram is linked on the Staff page.

A group has no client card and gets no lead — a member who writes to you directly is a client like any other. An assistant that answers when mentioned in a group is not available yet.
